Brandon Ng received his BFA from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and his MFA from Arizona State University. Ng's work investigates the intersections between place, persona, and positionality. His photographic and installation works deconstruct historical narratives to examine ideas concerning hybridity and the unlearning of imperialist methods that impact Hawaiʻi and its people. Being a product of settler colonialism in Hawaiʻi, Ng is partial to policies that affect Oceania's contemporary social and cultural issues and their overlap with the United States. His work has been exhibited throughout the continental US and the Hawaiian Islands. Ng currently lives and works in Honolulu, Kona, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi.
